With family roots in Norway, Fred decided to walk St. Olavsleden

“The other day a moose crossed in front of me. Those kinds of moments are probably the things that I treasure the most.”

With his love for nature, Fred Holmly from the USA, had done several pilgrimages when he heard of St. Olavsleden. With family roots in Norway it made sense to walk the Scandinavian route – and it turned out he wasn’t just walking in St. Olavs footsteps, but also his ancestors, who used to live right along the trail.
