Glösa

Ancient rock carvings and an open air museum
Follow St. Olavsleden’s project manager Putte Eby when he visits historical important sites along the trail.

A walk along St. Olavsleden truly is a walk through history. One interesting stop right along the trail is Glösa Älgrike (“Mooseland”).

Here you will find 6000 year-old rock carvings telling stories we have yet to understand. Here is also an open air museum, showing you the life of hunter-gatherers who lived at this place some 5000 years ago.

Read more about Glösa Älgrike on their website.
